You're AWESOME! I've been hearing word about these dolls but haven't found anything concrete about it until your post! Thanks for updating us. I'm with you, I'd rather spend my money on the articulated version.
I can't wait! I sure hope they have an AA male in the articulated version. I still have to buy my Denims, though. I love the faces and the jeans. I made the mistake of not buying a couple of Barbie Basics 1.0, then wanting some of those faces later. I still see some today on Flickr that I wish I had bought. Luckily I have plenty of articulated bodies without heads (thrift store finds), to swap bodies with.
the waiting part is torture! especially here in the Phil. were you have to wait longer. We still haven't seen any traces of Basics Jeans, even the 1.5 collection.Lucky for you to have eBay and pay pal. Love the Goddess in this new collection, and the 2011 Holiday Barbie as well. Just like Vanessa, i'm still getting 4 or 5 of the Jeans collection, i really love the Louboutin/Glimmer face mold, even though the promo pix was better than what actually came out.
I want to be excited about them but I can't help being kind of upset that the original Fashionistas bodies are now reserved for collector dolls. Current playline Fashionistas have the inferior swappin styles bodies and future ones are even worse, with molded on tops. :[
@Vanessa, I don't know about the articulated AA male. Like you, I hope they become a reality but from what I heard so far, only those 3 are going to be articulated (at least for the Jeans series). Maybe in the next series of Basics?
